Sample Weekly Learner Plan
What a Weekly Learner Plan looks like: one subject for one week, with every lesson planned in three phases.
Illustrative example. TeacherPaddy wrote this sample to show the structure of a Weekly Learner Plan. It is not a real teacher's plan, and it is not an official NaCCA or GES document. A real plan uses the curriculum's own indicators and codes for your class.

How to read this plan
- The heading ties the week to the curriculum: strand, focus, indicator and what learners should be able to do by the end of the week.
- Four lessons, not five. This sample class has Mathematics on four days, so Wednesday has no Mathematics lesson. A plan follows the timetable.
- Three phases in every lesson: a short starter to prepare learners, the main new learning with assessment built in, and a reflection.
- Assessment happens during the week (Tuesday's written task and Friday's exercise), so the teacher knows who needs more help before moving on.
How TeacherPaddy makes a weekly plan
You choose the week, the subjects and the indicators to teach. TeacherPaddy drafts the lessons for the days each subject is on your timetable, using your class size and school details, and checks the plan before saving it. You can edit every part, and download the plan as a PDF. One subject's plan for one week uses one planning credit, and your first one is free; see pricing.
This week comes from week 8 of the sample Scheme of Learning. To plan a week yourself, read how to plan a teaching week.
